
Calamares with Beer
Ingredients
- 2 Big or ½ kilo Squid cut into Ring
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup beer (alcoholic or non alcoholic)
- 1 pc lemon ( squeeze and wedges for garnish)
- ½ tbsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 pc egg
- 1 tsp paprika
- Oil for frying
- 1 tsp sugar (for Mayo Dip)
- ½ tsp pepper (for Mayo Dip)
- ½ tsp salt (for Mayo Dip)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (for Mayo Dip)
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise (for Mayo Dip)
- Spring onion (for Mayo Dip)
Instructions
- Marinate the squid ring with lemon juice, salt, pepper and paprika. Set aside
- For the beer batter, mix the beer, egg, flour, salt and pepper into a mixing bowl. Mix it well
- Add the marinated squid ring into the beer batter and fry into heated oil until golden brown. Removed excess oil.
- For Mayo Dip, mix the mayonnaise with salt, sugar, pepper, lemon juice and spring onion . Mix it well
- Served with Mayo Dip and Cold Beer. Enjoy
