Calamares with Beer
  • 2 Big or ½ kilo Squid cut into Ring
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup beer (alcoholic or non alcoholic)
  • 1 pc lemon ( squeeze and wedges for garnish)
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 pc egg
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tsp sugar (for Mayo Dip)
  • ½ tsp pepper (for Mayo Dip)
  • ½ tsp salt (for Mayo Dip)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (for Mayo Dip)
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise (for Mayo Dip)
  • Spring onion (for Mayo Dip)
  1. Marinate the squid ring with lemon juice, salt, pepper and paprika. Set aside
  2. For the beer batter, mix the beer, egg, flour, salt and pepper into a mixing bowl. Mix it well
  3. Add the marinated squid ring into the beer batter and fry into heated oil until golden brown. Removed excess oil.
  4. For Mayo Dip, mix the mayonnaise with salt, sugar, pepper, lemon juice and spring onion . Mix it well
  5. Served with Mayo Dip and Cold Beer. Enjoy
