How to Make Choco Puto with Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • For the choco mixture:
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Milo powder
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • For the puto mixture:
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • sliced cheese for toppings

Instructions
 

  • First, let’s make the choco mixture. Combine the cocoa powder, Milo powder, white sugar and hot water in a mixing bowl. Mix well then set aside.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients except for the cheese. Mix well.
  • Add the prepared choco mixture then mix. If the mixture is kind of dry, add some more water. (To mix it better, use an electric hand mixer)
  • Pour the mixture in puto molders with cupcake liners. Arrange them properly in the steamer.
  • Steam for about 8-10 minutes. After that, add sliced cheese on top of each cooked puto. Steam again for 2 minutes.
  • Remove each puto from the molders then serve.
