

How to Make Meatballs in Sweet and Sour Sauce
Ingredients
- For the meatballs:
- 250 gm ground pork or beef
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup carrots
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- For the sauce:
- 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
- 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic minced
- salt & pepper according to taste
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp banana catsup
- 3 tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch & 3 tbsp water mixed
- 3/4 cup water
- cooking oil for sautéing
Instructions
- For the meatballs:
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients. Mix until well-blended.
- Form small balls from the mixture using your hands.
- Brush some oil on a baking tray. Then arrange the meatballs on it.
- Bake in a preheated oven or oven toaster (180c/350F) for 20 minutes. Set aside the meatballs when done.
- For the sauce:
- Heat some oil in a saucepan, then sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger.
- Add water, catsup, and vinegar then mix well.
- Adjust the heat to low, then add salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Gradually add the cornstarch mixture while stirring.
- Simmer for 1 minute then remove from heat.
- Serving:
- Combine the meatballs and sauce. Top with chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your
- meatballs in sweet & sour sauce!
